Guess what I made?
Apparently you can cut the fat in brownies and increase the fiber by adding a can of black beans to the brownies instead of following the directions. I wont lie to you and say these are awesome. They kind of have a less chocolaty taste than normal brownies and a stranger more chewy texture (not really in a good way though). But if you are trying to do more of the exercising thing and less of the eating brownies in your bed (or couch, or car, or cubicle) like me, this is a nice way to trick yourself. (more…)
Using diet soda to replace the ingredients added to boxed cake mix is a very old trick, but I thought I might just impart this wisdom on the couple of you that don’t know yet. You can take any boxed cake mix and add any diet soda to it an you get a moist cake with half the calories compared to if you had made the cake following the directions. This has been my saving grace for weight watchers…because I love my cake. (more…)

I check-in with God on a daily basis and right now I really feel like he is telling me that I am not destined to be a hippie mom blogger. You already saw what happened with my gummies…well I’m at it again with my crazy hippie mom blogger recipe antics. This time I tried pumpkin muffins. Every morning I go to Peet’s Coffee before work and it is not the coffee dependency or the unnecessary spending money that bothers me about this routine morning visit…it’s the calories in what I get. I am trying to be good and healthy when I think about it. For a while my routine was always a small cappuccino and a piece of pumpkin bread. (more…)
